Everyone was a little sniffy earlier this week so I made chicken soup.
L was hovering, in one of those particular moods where she wanted something to do because there was just nothing to do. (She did not want to peel carrots, though.)
I quickly showed her to to print roses from a celery stem and she busied herself for an hour.
It is so much fun to be an adult around kids, to pull up a little piece of knowledge gathered way back when, offer it as a humble gift, and be admired rapturously as a genius (which, naturally, I am).
Celery stamping and soup: it's what's for dinner.
Have a wonderful weekend, friends.
