Really, I have no reason to complain. We didn't lose power. We didn't face any substantial property damage. Driving around this morning, I saw that not all our neighbors were so lucky. It took some creative navigating to leave our neighborhood around downed trees and wires, and some different creative navigating to re-enter around the work crews that had already begun their clean-up processes.
The sound of wood chippers is filling the air.
Our driveway is covered with leaves from trees that blew from far up the street. But we're safe, dry, warm, and surrounded by the comforting hum of working electricity. I hope you are, too.
Next up: tomorrow is a big day. Did I mention that I think E is getting sick?
