The obsolescence of the exersaucer

It's been in our employ since early 2006. It stood sentry in the family room; it hibernated in the basement storage area; it got a new lease on life; it went dormant again. This tour was its swan song, but we didn't tell it that.

It's time to retire the Big Plastic Circle. G is on the cusp of its weight limit, and of being willing to be contained. He moves too well, anyway. It has served its purpose admirably.

We'd like to reclaim its floor space and G would like to abolish anything that inhibits his freedom. But L has other plans. She insists that there are still family members who continue to want to relax in it daily and enjoy its entertainment.

Unfortunately for L, I don't have much guilt over disappointing Big Bird. The exersaucer's days are numbered.

I was always partial to Mr. Snuffalupagus. Pin It
