Pulp nonfiction

I just got this shirt. It's pretty great, isn't it?

So let's have a bit of a recap, because it looks like there are some new readers here from Simple Kids. Hi, Simple Kids new people! Here's what you need to know: I have two daughters, E and L, and a lovely husband. The girls are less than two years apart and the older one is only three-and-a-half (never forget the and-a-half). And I'm pregnant.

We live in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC and I work in government, one perk of which is that my workplace boasts an on-site daycare. So, the girls commute with me, and they are just down the hall from me if any of us need or each other or anything exciting is happening. The lovely husband works elsewhere and sometimes, like this week, that's nowhere near us at all.

I love a good story, but this is not where I post fairy tales. If I write here about my girls, it really happened. It's just another suburban family life but I'm enchanted with it. These day-to-day moments I write about: these are the stories that ultimately matter the very most. Pin It

Love the shirt. I love the enchanted stories of real life. It would be nice if life were a fairy tale, but we all know that it is not. I agree with you 100% - it is the small moments that we need to cherish.
